Abstract

Health Policy regulates and controls the conduct of the National Health System. Nurses who are a very important arm of the health system should know and think about the policies which underlie the very gamut of the system they are an indispensable part of and should be able to get these policies across to the healthcare recipients. The paper seeks among other things to find answers to the following two questions: What is the essence of a National Health Policy? Where does the Nurse fit in the policy-implementation continuum?
